ImPACT Concussions

ImPACT is mandated and structured for all U15 & U18 players within MMHA to create an “online baseline” with respect to concussion management.

There is no additional cost to the MMHA player or parent to utilize ImPACT.

The on-line tests are available via computer on ImPACT’s secure website (ie. this is not a mobile app).

Each MMHA player (U15 & U18) must participate annually in the web-based ‘baseline test’ – 20 to 25-min long – which provides a valuable reference point to the test-takers healthy brain function.  The test can be done from the comfort of your own home and is completely confidential to the player and parent.
This must be completed prior to the players 1st on-ice practice.

Process:
MMHA will contact each U15 or U18  player via email with an access code and link to ImPACT that will need to be used to start the online base line testing.
This must be completed prior to the start of the season.

All information is strictly confidential, and is stored on ImPACT’s secure server where players / parents can authorize a physician to have access to the test.

Please note:
--Should a MMHA player (U15 or U18) be diagnosed with a concussion, the player is encouraged to utilize the ImPACT process with their physician.
Only the parent/player may grant access to the physician for the players' ImPACT baseline test.  The player will be deemed unable to play until they seek medical attention and provide their coach with the MMHA Return To Play Form.

--Also,should a MMHA player (U15 or U18) become injured or the players’ coach, assistant or trainer be concerned after an incident, the player will be deemed unable to play until they seek medical attention and provide their coach with the MMHA Return To Play Form.
